As Africa prepares for the start of the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations in Morocco, the continent’s soccer governing body has revealed the price money for the winner.
After skipping the 2020 edition of the competition due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the biennial tournament will commence on Saturday.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons and eleven other countries are already in Morocco for the continent biggest women soccer show.
CAF announced that the eventual winner will go home with the sum of $1 million and the trophy.
Super Falcons who won the last edition got $200,000 for their efforts in 2018 and CAF under Patrice Motsepe has decided to increase the money in order to motivate the players.
Host country, Morocco will face Burkina Faso in the opening game slated for Saturday.
