Nigeria’s female senior national team, the Super Falcons, have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Morocco.
The African champions defeated tournament’s debutants, Burundi 4-0 in their final Group C game.
The victory of the super Falcons was not in doubtafter netting 3 goals in the first half of the game.

A brace from Uchenna Kanu and a goal each from Rasheedat Ajibade and Peace Efih secured the Falcons’ second win in the group.
In the other Group C match, South Africa beat Botswana 1-0 to claim the maximum nine points.
Despite the defeat, Botswana qualify alongside Nigeria and South Africa into the quarter-finals.
South Africa top the group with nine points, the Falcons finish in second spot on six points while Botswana placed third on three points and clinched one of the third best placed positions.
The Falcons who finished in second place behind South Africa, will face Cameron in the quarter final for a place at next years women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
