Edo Poly Rector Felicitates with ITV @ 25, Tasks Station On Investigative Journalism

The rector of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, Prof. Abiodun Falodun has congratulated the Independent Television (ITV), on its 25th anniversary.

Speaking with ITV staff during a courtesy visit at his administrative chamber, Prof. Abiodun Falodun commended the founder of ITV, the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion for his foresight in setting up ITV which he noted, has been in the forefront of the broadcasting industry in Edo state and Nigeria. 

Prof. Falodun commended impact of the ITV as watch dog of the society, stressing that the station has lived up to expectations of many Nigerians by its’ objective reportage.

He urged reporters of ITV to pay more attention to investigative and interpretative reportage as the core value of the media is to enlighten the public for a better society.

Falodun stated that Edo poly is willing to partner with the ITV to showcase the potentials and value of the polytechnic educational system.

According to him, “the partnership will further buttress Governor Obaseki’s effort in restructuring Edo State Polytechnic, improving our academic content and making it a global Polytechnic”.
