Members of the Workers Multipurpose Cooperative Society (WMCS) have been admonished to cultivate the habit of investing in order to have something to fall back to after retirement from service.
The advice was given by the President of WMCS Edo State Polytechnic chapter, Engr. Omorodion Idemudia, during the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) held on Tuesday, 20th September, 2022 at the Polytechnic.

Some of the issues discussed during the OGM were, cooperative business, reports presentation, acquisition of lands in Benin/ and Usen, sharing of dividends.
Others are, purchase of Xmas products, review of cooperators minimum thrift contribution, distribution of land documents to members that have paid at least 50 percent, Presentation of the Edo state poly WMCS bye-law to the general house by the committee.
Speaker at the event, Mr Kola Emmanuel Oyelade, from the Mortgage Microfinance bank, addressed members of WMCS on the possibility of bank partnering with the Cooperative to access housing building loan order to ensure all members become a house owner.
He also said with the right partnership, they can access housing maintenance loan from mortgage bank.Other guest at the event were inspectors from the State ministry of industry trade & cooperative.
