EdoPoly Students Celebrate Eid Al-Fitr With Muslims All Over The World

Muslim Students in Edo state polytechnic, Usen, have joined other Muslims around the world to observe the Eid-Al-Fitr prayer, signifying the end of Ramadan fasting and the beginning of a new Islamic month (Shawwal).

Eid-Al-Fitr is observed after the sighting of a new moon, and celebrated mostly on the same day by Muslims around the world. It is observed every year after the holy month of Ramadan and is known to be one of the moments Muslims around the world celebrate in unity.

The Student Union Government (SUG) President of Edo Polytechnic, Comrade Gasali Sodiq Opeyemi, also joined other Muslims in the institution to observe the Eid-Al-Fitr prayer.

Comrade Gasali charged Muslim students in the institution to live in harmony with other religious faithful, so as to foster unity and love amongst them.

“I use the medium to advise Students of this great institution to shun cultism, hooliganism and other social vices and pray for success in their ongoing first semester examination.” He maintained.
