Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has been announced as running mate to Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Olajide Adediran aka Jandor.
The announcement is coming days after Funke Akindele”s marriage to JJC Skillz crashed.
According to Jandor, Funke who is from Ikorodu and Lagos East Senatorial District like the incumbent Deputy Governor, has the popularity to garner an overwhelming vote for the party.
Akindele confirming the nomination, said she would work tirelessly for the party and for Lagos to have a breath of fresh air.
It was gathered that Funke defeated four other party members to emerge running mate to the governorship aspirant.
