The Taranga Lions of Senegal have given Africa it’s first win at the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted by Qatar.
The Senegalese defeated host nation, Qatar 3-1 in Friday’s group A second round of matches..

The African champions bounced back from the 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands in their first game with an encouraging victory at the Al Thumama Stadium.
With the lose against Senegal, the host nation are mathematically out of the world cup.

Meanwhile, in the other group A match, the Netherlands were denied qualification to the next round when they were help to a 1-1 draw by Ecuador.
Netherlands leads the group with 4 points followed by Ecuador with same number of points. Senegal seats in third place with 3 point while host nation, Qatar is yet to record a point.
