The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have exited the 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar despite a 1-0 win over one of tournament’s favourite, Brazil in their last group match on Friday.
The Lions came into the match at the back of a loss and a draw in their first two group matches.

Cameroon needed to beat Brazil and hope that the match between Switzerland and Serbia ends in a draw to stand any chance of reaching the round of 16.
In the other group match, Switzerland defeated Serbia 3-2 to join Brazil as group G qualifiers.
In group H, the Black Stars of Ghana lost to Uruguay as both teams failed to qualify for the round of 16.

Ghana lost its first game to Portugal and defeated South Korea in the second game. Victory again Uruguay would have seen them reaching the last 16.
Meanwhile, South Korea defeated Portugal who had already qualified having won their first 2 matches. With the win, South Korea joined Portugal as group H qualifiers.
