The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone will arrive Abuja today Saturday, June 4, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Super Eagles of Nigeria next week.
According to the Sierra Leone Football Association, the players and officials will depart Conakry, Guinea, after concluding first phase of their camping.
According to the football body, the team will continue their training and tactical build up ahead of the qualifier.
The match day one clash will take place at the M.K.O. Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Thursday, June 9.
The Leone Stars were grouped along with the Eagles during qualifiers for the 2021 AFCON that was staged in Cameroon.
The football minnows pulled off one of the great comebacks in African football, after cancelling a 4-0 deficit to draw 4-4 in Benin City.

The Eagles were only able to manage a goalless draw in the reverse but qualified for the tournament.
