WAFCON 2022: Falcons, Fourth Best In Africa

Super Falcons of Nigeria were on Friday beaten 1-0 by the female national team of Zambia in the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations.

The defending champions after losing to Morocco in the semi-final, were looking to finish on the medals table but the defeat to Zambia meant they finished the tournament empty handed.

The match was falcon’s third defeat in the tournament after losing their opening game in the group stage against South Africa as well as their semi-final tie against Morocco.

This is the third time the Falcons have failed to lift the trophy since it’s inception.

With Morocco and South Africa reaching the final, Africa will produce a queen come Saturday, 23rd June, 2022.
